Six things to do while twittin'

Yeah I wasn't impressed. Maybe if I came up in the twitter generation but I got to be true to me. Im a former myspacer and a current facebook user. 

Twitter and Learner Control.

Its not Learner Control but it could be a great tool. 

Ok, so I checked out two virtual tours. One of the tours was to Cove Fort. This was my first virtual tour and to be honest I though it was very boring. Whoever designed the web page could have put in alittle more effort to really show what Cove Fort was all about. The second tour I took was to Alcatraz and it was fantastic. The website had audio, video, and large detailed pictures of Alcatraz. I had free reign to go where ever I wanted which only made the experience better. I have screenshots and reviews of each tour below starting with Alcatraz.

Microblogging study questions

So I asked the authors of the microblogging study a couple of questions the last one being has anyone used microblogging in the class with kids. My questions are to the authors are posted below. 

 Second Life.

I went through the virtual world of second life with a bit of uncomfortableness. I guess I'm just not used to this kind of programming. I know a few folks who enjoy it and use programs like second life all the time. I think what really did it for me was unintentionally walking into conversations and the conversations not being so appropraiate. The flying feature was cool and gave a great view of the virtual world. I found myself flying more than walking and its a great way for me to get away from people I don't like. The chat function was cool. I ended up running into someone from brazil and had a short conversation with her. All in all I would not use it for personal use. I do believe my students would like it and I may use something like a second life to teach a tech class. Below is a screenshot of me flying around.
